It all boils down to this...

Krauthammer nails it here. This election IS a referendum. That's frightening because the Dems have not offered any alternative plans. Not sure it's such a great idea to let this country's foreign policy drift like a rudderless ship, just becasue you hate that guy from Texas.

  1. Krauthammer, as usual, has nailed the issue squarely on the head. I think he and George Will are truely the most thoughtful and incisive of the conservative commentators. Kerry and the Democrats offer criticism of the current administration, but no alternatives. Even their second-guessing is lacking in specifics. "I would have fought the war in Iraq differently." Assuming you believe Kerry would have fought Iraq at all, the response is "Great, how would you have done it?" "I would have gotten more allies on our side." "Great, how would you have gotten more allies to join us?." Nothing. "Bush's stewardship of the economy has been terrible. I will create 3 million new jobs." Great, I'm all for new jobs, how are you going to create 3 million new jobs? Nothing. Krauthammer is right, the guy is a cipher. It's easy to criticize and second-guess, but they have not proposed any true alternatives.
