Stuff you won't see at 6pm.

It's hard to continue to post this stuff, but it's still amazing. You won't see this kind of stuff from the mainstream media.

  1. I read that article before you posted it. There was one with a similar theme in this week's Weekly Standard. The real problem is, with the instant access of the media today, and our instant gratification society, in managing public perception. In WWII, because of the time lag in communications, situations had a few days to play themselves out before the news reached America. I mean, the Germans were reknowned counterattacking bastards. Can you imagine the hysteria and second guessing that would have been going on then if today's media was covering the ETO? "My god, the Germans counterattacked and retook Rumelle. Their resistance isn't crumbling after all. Eisenhower doesn't know what he's doing. What a mistake it was to invade France" Of course, two days later, we retake Rummelle and push further into France. Give it time people.
